Goodnight Vienna.  Goodbye Brussels.

Posted by Guessedworker on Monday, 23 May 2016 23:22.

So nationalism’s window of opportunity in Austria is closed for the time being.  Norbert Hofer has failed by the narrowest margin in his bid to become president of Austria.  It was the bravest of attempts.  But yet again the anti-white, anti-nation Establishment has succeeded in pulling enough votes together to beat off the challenger.  Nationalism awaits its breakthrough in the West.

The spotlight now shifts to Britain and the struggle – nationalist as well as patriotic - for sovereign nationhood, democratic right, the ability to make our own laws, and to control our own borders, all of which is at stake one month from now in the June 23rd referendum on membership of the European Union.

Here, too, the Establishment, in the form of Remain, is calling-in every favour and using every governing-party trick it possibly can, every conceivable negative argument, however overblown and improbable, to terrify the voters over the economic and security consequences of Leaving.  We’ve had Treasury talk of runs on the pound if we leave, as well as run-away inflation, and a year-long recession with a million job cuts.  We’ve had talk of being locked out of European markets for a decade, of more terrorism on our soil, even of a new world war.  We’ve had Obama making threats, the EU Commission president making threats, the IMF wagging its corrupt finger.  We’ve had the Confederation of British Industry, the British Chamber of Commerce, corporate CEOs by the hundred, charities, the arts, the unions, the National Health Service, the environmentalists ... you name it, every one of them has proved only too keen to lecture the British public on how to vote.  It’s amazing what self-interest can do.

Remain, of course, is only about protecting its own programme of internationalism, and the wealth and position that provides.  But the bulk of the electorate appears to be by no means engaged or interested enough to understand that.  Over the last three weeks or so the polling companies have found consistently for the efficacy of Project Fear.  There are significant differences between the results they obtain by telephone polling and on-line polling, the former showing anything up to an 18% lead for Remain (albeit taken from a London poll), and the latter generally a lead of about 5%.  Tonight the Telegraph is wittering on about a collapse in the vote for Leave.

Leave, certainly, has proven unable to get its message across - in no small measure because the Tory Establishment operation which won the official campaign designation is (a) reactive and chaotic in its campaigning methods, (b) institutionally hostile to Nigel Farage and UKIP, and (c) won’t give more than a cursory coverage of immigration, which is the principal issue in the public mind and the greatest weakness of the Remainers.  It would rather lose the referendum than see UKIP take credit for victory.  It is a classic case of putting party before country.

So what will happen on June 23rd?  Well, the last national election, on May 12th 2015, demonstrated that the polling companies do not necessarily know how to model the British electorate.  I’ve been reading the threads at Anthony Wells blog, UK Polling Report, and it is astonishing to me how little support for Leave is expressed therein, in contrast to the newspaper page-polls and threads which show support for Leave over Remain at about 60/40 on the left-leaning papers and up to 80-20 on the right-leaning ones.  Yet at Wells’ blog one encounters the soft-left/liberal urban intelligentsia mouthing its presumptions with perfect self-confidence.  They all seem to be constitutionally incapable of valuing what the people value.  Ask them what they value above sovereign nationhood, democracy and freedom, and they won’t answer, because they haven’t thought about it before and they don’t know.  But these are the people who are telling us what we think.  I am wondering whether they are remotely capable of understanding who and what the Leave voter is, and why he or she has such a passion for change (ie, because of people like them).

We’ll find out who is right, anyway, in one month.  My money is still on Leave, but then I am a stubborn soul, not to be shifted.  I just hope and believe that we are all of that mind.

Reading the relevant Breitbart thread it is apparent that evidence of electoral corruption in Austria is emerging:

iSapiens Gino Schafer • an hour ago
(1) The election was decided by only 30,000 votes.
(2) 165,000 votes were declared invalid (3.6%).
(3) 700,000 ballots by mail (14%!).

I do hope a recount takes place.

Apparently the Mail Ballots are to be counted on Monday by law, but the winner was declared on Sunday night. The Office backtracked that it was en “error” to post the Green victory early since FPO had a wide margin over the Green bigot in normal count but somehow lost on the Mail-In count….. before it was counted.

More indications of fraud. (Allegedly) invalid votes went up massively from round 1 to 2, from 92,655 to 165,212, despite a much smaller proportional increase in the number of voters, from 4,371,825 to 4,643,154, and a much simpler two-option ballot, compared to the six on the first ballot! The ‘invalid’ votes were 5.34 times the margin of victory!

Also, in the district of Waidhofen an der Ybbs (Stadt), with 9.026 entitled voters, and a
first round turnout of 7.090, the second round turnout was 13.262, that is 146,9% of the total of entitled voters! According to official figures! Of course van der Bellen won handily!

A comment I have posted at John Redwood’s Diary:

http://johnredwoodsdiary.com/2016/05/24/a-puppet-parliament/

.. and which is awaiting moderation (ie, as a persona non grata, my commentary is probably unwelcome and won’t be published).

Your fine and passionate speech, John, is here:

https://hansard.parliament.uk/Commons/2016-05-23/debates/1605232000001/DefendingPublicServices#contribution-1605235000001

By the by, do you have a view on why the findings of the polling companies are so at odds with the (admittedly self-selecting) website page-polls run by pretty well all the media except The Guardian (I think)? These report a Leave advantage of around 60/40 in the left-leaning media and 70/30, even 80/20 in the rest.

The sample base on these page-polls is usually huge – several tens of thousands. It’s all very well to whisper about the vociferous on-line kipper army, but that doesn’t really explain why the Mirror and Indy polls have both registered such substantial Leave advantages on perfectly numerically respectable sample bases.

The pollsters’ version requires a vertiginous drop-off in anti-EU sentiment among those who do not participate in these media polls, such that a substantial majority of “shy” Remainers, who don’t read political articles in the on-line media and who don’t have any curiosity to see to what degree their own views are shared, somehow exists. I don’t buy it. I think there is something else going on, perhaps to do with the incapacity of the singularly soft-left pollster “community” to envisage, and thereby model, patriotic feeling.

What do you think?

GW, it might be a good idea to start a Majorityrights Forum thread cataloguing the various native nationalist and White nationalist parties from Europe and around the world. While such material would be too detailed and would clutter the news or majorityrights central section, organizing such a thread in the Forum could provide orientation and handy reference to track the progress and difficulties of the parties for those generally interested or interested in the particular goings-on of a party.

Mind you, I am not referring to this post - its very fine. It just alerted me to the need and the best place for such a thread.

I’ll start a forum thread beginning to itemize the various countries and parties, unless you’d prefer to do it yourself - though it may well be better if you start the thread, since you are more concerned with mainstream politics and my name being at the head of the thread might dissuade some of right-wing weener-heads from participating.

I truly hope Brexit wins but I have my doubts. The EU is fundamentally unreformable and ideologically hostile to sovereignty/democracy.  It’s a real shame the chaos of the Leave campaign and that no left of centre voice are for leave (in contrast to the 1970s when many Labour figures believed in leaving).

You have to remember, Graham, that the Remain campaign receives next to no audience outside of the media:

It’s a con functioning solely through the media.  Yet we are meant to believe that there are millions falling in behind the Remain message.

Hat-tip to Guido.

I recall a conversation I had with two Englishmen in a Michigan bar about six months ago.  They weren’t Chavs, more like your typical brain dead frat boy type.  I expressed the opinion that letting so many immigrants into the UK was fucked up because the Isle of Britannia has roughly the same square milage as the state of Michigan but already possesses six times Michigan’s population.  Their reply was as demoralizing as it was succinct: “Listen mate, I appreciate your knowledge.  But you’ve got to understand, being English means not giving a fuck about anything.”

Why do you think the BBC screened The Last Whites of the East End?

Are they testing the waters, seeing if indigenous English will accept their slow genocide?

Are there “rogue” elements trying to alert the indigenous to their demographic peril?

Mixed motivations?

Mick,

The programme was made by Lambent Productions, a Brighton-based independent production company who have an impeccably liberal record:

http://www.lambentproductions.co.uk/content

I imagine that the kicker for them was their self-professed principle of drawing out authenticity from their subjects.  The authentic, in respect to real East Enders (or, indeed, any of us), drives out the multicultural lie, the politically correct lie, and would, in this instance, leave the programme-makers on the horns of a dilemma.

I don’t know what the BBC programme commissioners were expecting, but it is fairly obvious why, when they got it, they put the programme out at 10.45pm, with absolutely minimal prior publicity.

TNO, “Jews Ecstatic at Hofer Defeat, 23, 2016:

The presidents of the Conference of European Rabbis and the British Jewish Board of Deputies have lost no time in expressing their glee at the narrow defeat of Norbert Hofer in the Austrian presidential elections—even though Israel has the identical policies toward Muslims and “refugees” espoused by the FPÖ.

According to a report in the UK’s Jewish Chronicle, Chief Rabbi Goldschmidt, President of the Conference of European Rabbis, said that

We would like to congratulate Mr. Van der Bellen on his victory in the Austrian Presidential election. This is a clear sign that Europe is beginning to realize that hate and fear politics are not the answer to the many challenges we are facing as a continent.

British Board of Deputies President Jonathan Arkush also congratulated Mr. Van der Bellen, and said that his organization

wishes to note our grave concern at the level of support for Norbert Hofer and the Freedom Party. Mr. Hofer and the Freedom Party have some deeply unsettling connections to unsavory groups in Austrian society which no amount of carefully staged visits to Israel can camouflage. He has used language reminiscent of the Nazi-era, indulged far-right media and has also carried a gun in response to the migrant crisis.

In an article in the LA Times of September 6, 2015 (“One country that won’t be taking Syrian refugees: Israel”), Netanyahu went on to say that Israel’s “lack of demographic and geographic depth” required controlling its borders against both “illegal migrants and terrorism.”

This “lack of demographic depth” to which he referred is of course the fact that immigration into Israel is strictly controlled and is racially-based: no one who is not Jewish can immigrate there.

Haaretz, 10 Feb 2016: “In the end, in the State of Isreal as I see it, there will be a fence that spans it all, Netanyahu said. [...] In the area that we live in, we must defend ourselves against the wild beasts.”

These comments—among many others—are in fact far more “extreme” than anything that Hofer or the FPÖ have ever said—but Rabbi Goldschmidt and Mr. Arkush are of course very happy to support these policies in Israel—and condemn them when Austrians try to protect their own borders.

As to Rabbi Goldschmidt’s whining about “hate”—he does, of course, ignore the fact that his country’s leader recently announced that the purpose of building a wall around Israel was to “protect the Jewish state from Arab wild beasts.”

The Mail is carrying another interesting piece today:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3608546/London-Megacity-capital-s-population-hit-nearly-10m-2024-high-birth-rate-migration-abroad-offsets-exodus-regions

London becomes a Megacity: Capital’s population to hit nearly 10m by 2024 as birth rate and migration from abroad offsets exodus to regions

ONS has estimated how the forecast 7.5% increase in England’s population by 2024 breaks down between regions
London is due to grow by 13.7% from 8.5m in 2014 to 9.7m in 2024
Numbers boosted by 10.4% due to more births than deaths, and 10.2% by migration from abroad - but 7% will move to other parts of UK

Nearly 10 million people could live in London by 2024 as the South of England drives population growth, according to official figures.

The number of people calling the capital home is set to rise from around 8.5 million to more than 9.7 million within eight years due to more births than deaths and migrants arriving from abroad.

The rise would be even sharper but the Office for National Statistics (ONS) expects around 600,000 people to move out to other parts of the country over the same period ...

The details emerged as the body published estimates for how the predicted 7.5 per cent increase in England’s population by 2024 breaks down between regions.

London is by far due to grow the fastest, by around 13.7 per cent on the 8.5 million figure from mid-2014.

The number of people living in the borough of Tower Hamlets is forecast to increase by 25 per cent - from 284,000 to 355,400.

The ONS says ‘natural change’ - the difference between the birth and death rate - will account for 10.4 per cent of the change across the capital.

International migration is expected to add another 10.2 per cent - around 850,000. But there is a 7 per cent fall attributed to people leaving London for other parts of the UK.

The population of the East will swell by 8.9 per cent, and the South East 8.1%, according to the figures ...

The number of local authorities where more than a quarter of the population are over 65 is projected to increase from 28 in 2014 to 84 in 2024.

Suzie Dunsmith of the ONS’s Population Projections Unit said: ‘All regions of England are projected to see an increase in their population size over the next decade, with London, the East of England and South East projected to grow faster than the country as a whole.

‘The population is also ageing with all regions seeing a faster growth in those aged 65 and over than in younger age groups.’

Alarming population projections come on the eve of new immigration stats
They’re highly sensitive for the Government as it tries to keep us in the EU

England faces an immigration-fuelled four million population boom over the next eight years, official figures revealed today.

An interactive guide allows you to find out what your area will look like in 2024 as projections from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) lays bare the impact of Britain’s open borders policy in every borough across England.

London is set to be turned into a Megacity in eight years’ time, according to the statistics, with nearly 10 million people predicted to be living in the capital by 2024.

The capital - along with the South East and East of England - will grow by a faster rate than the country overall.

On average, England’s population is forecast to grow by 7.5 per cent by 2024.

The alarming population projections come on the eve of the final release of immigration statistics before the June 23 referendum.

The details are highly sensitive for the Government and come at the same time as it tries to convince voters to stay in the EU and continue to sign up to its freedom of movement rules, which allow the EU’s 500 million citizens to move freely between 28 different countries.

The number of people calling London home is set to rise from around 8.5 million to more than 9.7 million within eight years due to more births than deaths and migrants arriving from abroad.

The rise would be even sharper but the ONS expects around 600,000 people to move out to other parts of the country over the same period.

Meanwhile, northern towns such as Blackpool are set to see their populations fall.

The north east of England is the region that is projected to grow at the slowest rate of 3.1 per cent over a ten-year period.

The details emerged as the body published estimates for how the predicted 7.5 per cent increase in England’s population by 2024 breaks down between regions.

London is by far due to grow the fastest, by around 13.7 per cent on the 8.5 million figure from mid-2014.

Norbert Hofer didn’t lose the election on Sunday/Monday, he won it, but it was stolen from him. There are plenty of anomalies but they wouldn’t stand up in a court of law where everything is stacked against you. For example:
On Sunday it was stated by the responsible party that there were 700,000 absentee ballots to count. This was repeated many times. On Monday it was given as “nearly 740,000.” After the count the number was increased to 766,076 for the final tally.  That is a difference of 26,076 votes.

There are other instances in the recorded vote figures showing screwy things, with changes in figures that add up to over 10,000. But especially there were 165,212 invalid votes—far more than usual.

]Van der Bellen won by only 31,000. Those votes should be questioned, but probably it simply wouldn’t go anywhere. So it’s considered the better policy to accept it graciously and work to grow your party for the next go-round. The Austrian people have been badly cheated. So may be the British people on June 28th.

Posted by Carolyn Yeager on Thu, 26 May 2016 06:03 | #

Actually the updated story on the absentee ballots goes like this:
The Chief of the BMI said there were 740,000 postal cards but many of them are invalid, so he expects to receive approx. 700.000 VALID POSTAL VOTING CARDS IN THE END RESULT.
In the end it was then suddenly over 766,000 absentee ballot cards, with over 740.000 VALID VOTES!
So that is a change of 40,000 voter cards. This seems awfully sloppy for Germans. It tells me they were uncertain how much they would have to make up for, thus were very imprecise with their figures.

What it means, Carolyn, is that nationalists have to do much more than scrape together a strict patriotic majority at elections.  They have to govern in every other way.  They have to control the public discourse at every level.  They have to make victory inevitable because only by that means can the abuses of the Establishment be overwhelmed by public anger, and defeated.

Why do you think the BBC screened The Last Whites of the East End?

I couldn’t bring myself to watch it personally as it would have upset me too much but my guesses are:

They probably commissioned it expecting an upbeat story about how everything is better,

Whoever made it is disconnected from the victims so they made it the same way they’d make a similar documentary about a displaced tribe in the Amazon,

BBC didn’t want to show it but had to for contractual reasons so did so late at night with no publicity.

Judging by the Twitter response the SJWs who watched it got kicked right in the cognitive dissonance.

TNO, “FPÖ to Formally Challenge Election Result”, 8 June 2016:

The Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) has announced that a “myriad of irregularities” in the recent presidential elections has forced them to formally challenge the poll result.

The FPÖ’s candidate, Norbet Hofer, lost the election by a hair’s breadth amidst many allegations of voter fraud, duplicate voting—particularly among nonwhites in Vienna—and discrepancies in the postal votes.

Strache addresses a press conference in Vienna, June 8, on the appeals against the presidential election result.

FPÖ leader Heinz-Christian Strache said in an official statement that the party was challenging the presidential election due to a “myriad of irregularities.”

“We are not bad losers, but this is about the very foundations of democracy, which have to be secured,” Strache said at a news conference in Vienna.

“Without these irregularities, Hofer could have become president,” he said.

A total of three appeals of more than 150 pages have been submitted to the Constitutional Court, he continued.

One appeal had been submitted by himself as an authorized agent, a second by presidential candidate Hofer, and a third by “voters and citizens.”
