Independent Academic Validation of Industrially Useful Cold Fusion Device

Posted by James Bowery on Monday, 20 May 2013 07:25.

An energy revolution has been reported in a joint paper by scientists from Bologna University, Uppsala University and Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, titled “Indication of anomalous heat energy production in a reactor device containing hydrogen loaded nickel powder.” This is the long-awaited independent validation of the infamous “E-Cat” or “Energy Catalyzer” by controversial inventor Andrea Rossi. Quoting the paper: “Even by the most conservative assumptions as to the errors in the measurements, the result is still one order of magnitude greater than conventional energy sources.”

The pseudo-skeptics have long-ago lost the peer-reviewed independently published discourse and have been completely reliant on the media and political echo-chamber. The significance of this is now outside of academic discourse entirely and threatens the stability of the echo-chamber.

Excellent news - and now the global warming hoax is in retreat opposition to this may start to fade also.

nb The global warming hoax is/was effectively an attempt to impose the Morgenthau plan on the whole of Europe. This may or may not be a coincidence.

@Wobbly,
I don’t know about the global warming hoax being an attempt to impose the Morgenthau Plan on the whole of Europe, but just maybe, the Morgenthau Plan has been imposed? This time through fraud and deceit, again. What better way to de-stabilize a post modern nation than to import millions of poor, low skilled, people from over-populated third world nations, thus creating in the long haul, a pastoral like country of low skilled cheap labor?

When reading your links, about the “Morgenthau Boys” and WWII, including FDR, Churchill, Stalin, and the outright hate for the Germanic People that these bastards had/ have for those of us that are from that part of humanity, all I can think is, I am my just glad my father and uncles that fought on the US side, are gone now and will not have to see the lies and deceit that WWII was really about….

Morgoth,

I’d like to thank you for posting that video too.

After viewing it, I’ve been busy posting that video (along with the article by Colin Liddell) on many “conservative” sites here in the USSA.

Dang it!  Wrong thread.

As cold fusion becomes recognized it will surely shake up many. Take for instance the EU Parliament holding a special meeting on 03 June on the topic - http://goo.gl/9vAsY . As this moves the $4 trillion of investments in the fossil fuel industry are surely going to be re-examined to see how quickly they become “stranded assets.” http://goo.gl/LKlZJ

Thanks for those links, Russ.

About 1/5 of petroleum use is as chemical feedstock.  As the economy grows, demand for chemical feedstock will increase.  Will the economy grow a factor of 5?  At the same time, however, the price of synthesized hydrocarbons will come down.  If that price crosses a critical threshold, it will strand the fossil fuel assets regardless of the growth in demand for chemical feedstocks.

I’ve never seen or heard of a reasonable analysis of this.

James,

So are oil and oil industry related stocks basically worthless now? Would you recommend selling them?

Ian, not having seen the “reasonable analysis” of which I spoke, I cannot say.  Certainly, many people will be spooked and there may be a temporary drop in the price of stocks—stocks that are based on long-lived capital assets such as resources in the ground.  The drop in price itself, however, may largely be panic if economic growth is stimulated as much as many believe it will be and hydrocarbon synthesis cost remains above the critical threshold.

The thing to watch out for in the fundamentals is the cost of near zero emission synthesis of hydrocarbons above methane (starting with ethane and particularly ethylene).  Those emissions would have to include things like reburying coal tailings, sulfur and washery effluent (sludge) in the mines of origin.
