They’ve been promising cold fusion for 20 years now. Every now and then there seems to be an optimistic, promising report, but nothing seems to come of it.

It is 25 years since a cartel of big physicists terrorized the scientific community, closing the question is 6 weeks with 3 incompetent physicists (not electro-chemist judged as lower species) teams quickly sabotaging experiment that the top electrochemist of the time took 1 year to make perfect… one of the team was even caught in fraud by their editor who resigned in furor (Eugene Mallove).

of course it was replicated (exactly by Mills and Longchampt, more creatively by others, with many various effect proven). Despie the obstacle it was and it is even published (see in naturWissenschafte, Physics letter A,...)

now it is industrial because few desperate engineers, garage inventor, had no risk to ruin their career, to miss the nobel price, to be defunded, to perish instead of publish…
This is a tragedy of science cartel who control funding, publication, and scientific prices…
It avoid some bad science, but promote also some bad science as settled, and it misses many revolution.

Demos can be faked.  Set one up to power a factory.  That will get people’s attention - if it’s real.
