American Experience: Ruby Ridge

Not coming from a White perspective, so after giving it the old Schmittian demarcation, lets have a look…

           
This is the last photograph of Vicki Weaver before she was killed by an FBI sniper 22 Aug 1992 in the Ruby Ridge standoff.
It was taken by USMS surveillance the morning of 21 Aug 1992 and was evidence at the subsequent trial.

Tara Westover’s story, “Educated,” begins with her family living at the bottom of Bucks Peak.
       
Tara Westover was six years old when the Ruby Ridge incident occurred. For her family this was particularly meaningful as they were quite similar to the Weavers, also being fundamentalist Christians living off the grid in Idaho. Tara’s father was frightened, made paranoid by the Ruby Ridge incident, believing that the same kind of goverment siege could take place against his family of seven children -


Ruby Ridge is in the Northern Idaho panhandle, while Bucks Peak is in the South East of Idaho.

Tara was the youngest, none of whom went to public school; but despite that and the attendant weirdness and abuse that you might not be surprised to hear about from a family living in its own world, she managed to graduate from BYU and then go on to studies at Harvard and finally a PhD from Kings College Cambridge.

Kathleen Belew recounts post Vietnam war White advocacy in The USA and cannot bring herself to recite the fourteen words.

So, lets help her:

“We must secure the future of our people and a future for White children.”

She does mention leaderless resistance though, lol.
