My wife bought me a couple of neckties for my birthday and as we were going out for dinner, I went to the bedroom and put one of the ties on. When I came downstairs,  she looked at me and said ” What’s wrong with the other one? don’t you like it?”

An old joke, illustrative of the way society is going, where any form of discrimination is wrong. As one Andrew Sabisky found out recently.

I’m beginning to conclude there is a problem with the name. I mean , Andrew Sabisky, Andrew Anglin, Prince Andrew, the SNP (St Andrew). Or am I just being discriminatory?

Sexist and racist patients could be barred from non-emergency care at NHS trusts, under new rules to be enforced from April.

Currently staff can refuse to treat non-critical patients who are verbally aggressive or physically violent towards them.

But these protections will extend to any harassment , bullying or discrimination, including homophobic, sexist or racist remarks.
