Greece said it blocked nearly 10,000 migrants from entering the European Union on Sunday. Greek police have deployed tear gas against hundreds of migrants trying to force their way across the border from Turkey. Thousands more are on their way after Ankara said it would let migrants cross into the EU. Turkey has been calling for more EU support in tackling the migrant crisis amid Syria’s civil war.

It is all a result of Trump green-lighting Erdogan’s invasion of Northern Syria to “clear out” the Kurds. The consequences of the orange idiot’s decision were so predictable even the EU and Germany called it right.
A spokesman for the European Union warned that Turkey’s planned military action “will only exacerbate the civilian suffering and lead to massive displacement”.
Ulrike Demmer, a spokeswoman for German Chancellor Angela Merkel, said Monday that the progress made against the Islamic State “must not be endangered” and warned that Turkey could further destabilize Syria. (USA Today 16-12-19)
Trump must be okay with Erdogan’s behaviour as his threat to “destroy” the Turkish economy if Erdogan did anything “off-limits” hasn’t materialised.
As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off-limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey
the POTUS tweeted at the time. However in his “great and unmatched wisdom” Trump knows only too well that his family have many business interests in Turkey, including a “magnificent” project in Istanbul that Erdogan helped Trump launch.
Hail KEK, anyone?
