Why, then does she not name these foreign-funded NGOs and reveal the ethnicity of the funders? What’s the point of speaking of the weakness and fear of the Indian and government judicial system if she herself won’t bring the destructive elements to light, and explore the motives for their destructiveness? If she means American Jews, as seems likely, why not at least name them, or others involved, individually?

There are dozens of women’s rights NGO’s in India and from what I know of them a lot do important and necessary work. I suspect Kishwar isn’t naming international NGO’s like CREA who are a feminist human rights organisation. CREA’s website has a funding page - that is blank, however wealthy liberals come in all shapes and sizes.

At the World Economic Forum in Davos in January, George Soros pledged $1 billion to fight nationalism and said the “most frightening setback” to his open society project came in India where “A democratically elected Narendra Modi is creating a Hindu nationalist state, imposing punitive measures on Kashmir, a semi-autonomous Muslim region and threatening to deprive millions of Muslims of their citizenship”.
Soros was also critical of Trump, Xi Jinping and Orban. He also described Brexit as “a defeat” for Open Society.
There isn’t a single source for all of Soros’ rant but this provides the gist of it…
