On 23 July the deportation of an Afghan migrant to his home country was temporarily blocked by Swedish social justice activist Elin Ersson. The girl refused to sit down until the man was removed from the flight.

Via a group of activists, Ersson was involved in trying to stop deportations before but never on a plane. She heard that an Afghan man in his 50s was among the passengers to be deported, but she didn’t know anything about him.

The footage of Ersson’s protest was watched by millions of people and was seen by the left as a brave act and one of the highlights of protests for human rights in Europe.

But now it appears that the Afghan man in his 50s is actually an aggressive wife beater, Swedish news outlet Fria Tider reports.

He had beaten his daughters and his wife, and among other things, “whipped” them with a long charging cord.

The man is convicted of assault in Sweden, the police confirmed to Fria Tider. However, that was not why he was deported.

Now, newspaper Nyheter Idag reveals that the man was sentenced to nine months in jail for three cases of assault of his own wife and their two children.

The newspaper writes that the man was frequently violent and the verdict against him is an event on 14 January 2018.

At that day he “whipped” his two underage daughters because they did not turn off their TV. According to the judgement, he took a two meter long charging cord, folded it, and then struck the little girls on the back, arms and legs.

However, the assault did not stop there. When the mother came into the room, the children managed to escape from there.

But then the man started to abuse her instead. The 52 year-old whipped the mother so she fell to the floor, and then he grabbed her head and pounded it against the floor.

At his party’s festival, Akesson revved up the crowd by slamming the establishment’s failures, calling the last two governments the worst in Swedish history. T-shirts calling for a Swexit, or an exit from the EU, were exchanged as bands played nationalist tunes.

Ted Lorentsson, a retiree from the island of Tjorn, said he’s an enthusiastic backer of the Sweden Democrats. “I think they want to improve elderly care, health care, child care,” he said. “Bring back the old Sweden.” But he also acknowledges his view has led to disagreement within his family as his daughter recoils at what she feels is the “Hitler”-like rhetoric.

“AfS not granted official permit from Kungsträdgården - but will hold their finale there anyway”

Stockholm city has chosen to cancel Alternative from Sweden (AfS) from a Kungsträdgården permit, where the party had booked its finale on Friday. But despite being cancelled from the booking at Kungsträdgården, the party invites its supporters to be in place.

The opposition party, Alternatives for Sweden, is knocking on the door to the Riksdag. The party plans to hold its finale on Friday in Stockholm and has sold-out the Kungsträdgården. According to the party, they paid more than SEK 150,000 to book Kungsträdgården. The agreement was signed on July 18th.

But now, Stockholm City Council of Finance, Karin Wanngaard (S), announces that the party, who had booked the entire Kungsträdgården for Friday, would be cancelled. This is because the city of Stockholm does not rent premises or facilities to organizations that “do not support the democratic rule of law, do not endorse human rights and do not support equality between women and men.”

Recently, Alternative to Sweden’s Jeff Ahl, was reported to the police after scanning “Sweden for Swedes”, which is said to be a breach of the opinion of the HMF. This is something that weighed in Stockholm’s decision to cancel the party.

- “Our premises and facilities should not be used by those who want to harm our democracy. This applies equally regardless of what anti-democratic or extreme political orientation you support. Stockholmers have the right to feel that we are on their side, and an organization that actively targets Stockholmers is not welcome to use the resources of the city of Stockholm”, says Karin Wanngård, the Finance Council in a press release.

Representatives for Sweden are now raging against the decision of the City of Stockholm.

“It is obvious that this is politically motivated. In a rule of law, one should be considered innocent until the contrary has been proven, but here the majority of the city hall abolishes that principle. It becomes parody when they refer to legal certainty, says Gustav Kasselstrand, party chairman of AFS, in a press release.

Despite Stockholm City’s decision, Gustav Kasselstrand announced Alternative for Sweden will hold their finale in Kungsträdgården on the Friday as planned.

“Of course, we do not accept the decision from the city of Stockholm, but will hold a demonstration anyway. I urge everyone to go to Stockholm on Friday. “A paper tiger no longer. A Swedish tiger rushes-in! Everyone to the king!”, says Kasselstrand.

William Hahne, Deputy Party Leader for Alternatives for Sweden, told StockholmDirekt that the party plans to sue Stockholm City for breach of contract.
