Good news analysis, slavish Nietzschean labelling
I have not been able to interest myself in the Super-League debacle, largely because I would have preferred the game of African kick-ball which English professional football has become to die out, to be honest. But here, anyway, is a pretty good, historically-grounded and factually accurate analysis by NativistConcern of the attempt to take the Big Six truly global, and destroy the rest of African kick-ball in the process.
It’s just a pity that the video-maker is another one lost to the poetic lie of heroism and the life of glory - and more a pity because, actually, he has a real feel for the life and culture of the old working-class.

In 1998, the Italian corporation Media Partners were also blocked from creating a breakaway European league. The ESL appears to be the brainchild of Florentino Perez who is the president of Real Madrid and would have become the chairman of the ESL had it gone ahead. It’s well known that Perez wants to leave a legacy, equal to if not surpassing that of Santiago Bernabeu, who took Real into the European cup when the competition first began. Bernabeu was hand picked by Franco to become Real’s president, as he was part of Franco’s inner circle and had served in the army during the civil war. Franco used Real to promote his fascist (small f) vision of post war Spain; which makes the closing archive footage in the video somewhat ironic.
If Perez is correct when insisting the ESL would “save football”, we should expect to see Afro kickball begin to implode over the next five years anyway.
