Majorityrights Central > Category: Blogs & BloggingGodless Capitalist recently banned me from the porn site “Gene Expression” (warning: if you click on that link, software written by south Asian programmer claiming to be “cognitive elitist” has been detecting that you came from Majority Rights and directs you to pornography of black men and white women and it may do so at any time). He did so because he claims I am a white nationalist—a vague class of people banned from the site. But he also—perhaps arguing the alternative—claimed that I am an ignoramus when it counts and not capable of critical thought when it counts—hence not suitable company for cognitive elitists such as those supposedly running and contributing to Gene Expression. Ironically, the justification he gives for claiming this is, itself, a failure of critical thought and/or ignorance when it counts. Moreover, this exhibition was apparently brought on by my claim that recent immigrants from India’s lower caste may be bringing intestinal flora with them that are causing the autism epidemic among Westerners. Now, we are led by Godless Capitalist to believe his ancestry is from India, but could his ancestry be lower caste? Taking personal offense to such an hypothesis and then abusing one’s position of privilege to suppress rational dialogue—providing logically fallacious and/or ignorant justification for these actions—is certainly something more consistent with the hypothesis that he is of lower caste ancestry than brahmin, benefiting from affirmative action and posing as a cognitive elitist, than it is that he is a genuine member of a cognitive elite. It is tragic for all concerned when such characters succeed. Read on for his “egregious” logical fallacy and/or ignorance.
We will be closed for business for up to four hours today so our hosting company can switch servers and effect a substantial upgrade to capacity. I hope that will resolve the occasional problems we have had with CPU starvation over the past few months. Thanks for your patience and for your support, as always.
These auto-intoxicating words of Samizdata illuminati and liberty-tripper, Perry de Havilland, were passed down to me from on “high” during a debate on what is now an ancient and very much pre-MR thread at his blog. For anyone who still doesn’t know, Samizdata is a famously critical-rationalist (ie, Popperian) blog, and is right-wing Britain’s most-hit (by us!). As was my practise at the time of that quote, I always acted with caution, giving Poppergun Perry no excuse to ban me. Later it transpired that no excuse was necessary. But that’s another story. Now, following our disgracefully enjoyable examination of all these critical-rationalists’ emotional lives, organised so ably for us by Alex, I want to take a moment to reflect on the strange hatreds and glaring weaknesses of these desperately bitchy, cosmopolitan housewives.
Can’t have JJR out on his lonesome. Here are a couple of blog offerings from the capital city of love, the first a fine display of principle and true courage from the bloggers of “no-passaran” who protested a Muslim protest march last weekend against Western free speech.
JR has received some welcome plaudits for the new page design, based on EE’s latest update. He is entirely responsible, so don’t blame - or praise - me. I’d like to add my congratulations and thanks. I am well aware that he has put a lot of thought and a lot of time into it and the result, at least as far as I am concerned, is very satisfying. It isn’t quite the final article. We’ve still got to work out the MR Forum details and there are a couple of plug-ins to come on stream, plus whatever creative tweaks are still lurking at the back of JR’s mind. I’m giving some consideration now to what we want forum-wise. What we clearly don’t want is anything that might lead to this sad situation. The main page will always be open-house. But access to the MR Forum will require members’ log-in. Either I or JR will post here on access when the facility is up and running. Content-wise, the areas of off-blog debate which are most profitable for us are political, scientific and daily news, and we will probably start operating the forum accordingly. Main page content will adjust to the presence of the forum, probably by losing some of the pure link-based content to it and, therefore, concentrating more on originated pieces. However, this is not set in stone. I am open to constructive suggestions, and you are welcome to pitch in with your ideas. So that’s it. Thanks to all for your continued patronage. Let’s hope, after all JR’s work, the guys at EE don’t rush out a new and irresistible, improved version tomorrow morning.
Probably over this weekend MR will be upgraded to the latest ExpressionEngine package. This will include an Open Forum and a number of other useful tweaks to the system. So if you find we are off-line for a while that will be why. Then over the ensuing days we will be making some general design changes, including garnering our science material into a single resource available at the click of a button on the side-bar. Again, some unavoidable but brief service interruptions will be occasioned. Our apologies for that. But we expect the end-result to be worth it. Thanks, as ever, for your interest and your fantastic commenting support, and please stay with us to help develop the blog and all the arguments for majority rights. UPDATE - November 14th The EE guys performed their mysterious deeds today, in fact. We will now set about making the required design changes. The Forum carries a risk, I agree. But it also gives the blog an extra, somewhat democratic dimension. I think it’s worth a try. If the tone descends into personal abuse we’ll IP-ban the offenders, naturally. But actually, the experience civility-wise has been remarkably good thusfar, and I’m hopeful that won’t change.
Today MR lost one of its two most active bloggers, the rumbustuous, irrepressible Geoff Beck. Gone are the exhortations to feeble men to march on Washington (with guns, of course) and gone too the sudden, brilliant and unsuspected pieces of gold-digger’s research that reverberated beyond our page and into the wider blogosphere. I have quite grown accustomed to waking up daily at 7.00am and firing up the PC to see what Agincourt Geoff was starting while I was yet abed in England. I will miss that moment of discovery each morning. The first thing to do, then, is to thank Geoff for the prodigious effort he has put in. It was not simply for our entertainment – though he was often entertaining - and not just for the sake of the blog. He laboured for the people he loves and believes in and desires to see survive, and I only wish there were many more people like him.
Thanks to Rob for letting me know that the latest edition of the IE browser brings up MR with Google’s new warning flag (on which John posted last month). It’s purpose is said by Google to be a warning of “dangerous” content. In effect, and used against a site like ours, it could take away our reputation as people of honest intent - at least with visitors who do not already know us. My IE, which I don’t use much these days, is too ancient to replicate this delightfully thoughtful piece of larceny. So I haven’t seen it. Still, I am sure Rob has it right and some unscrupulous individual is trying to damage us. It would be interesting to know from readers using the new IE browser which other political sites have acquired this badge of honour. Not many on the left, I bet.
