What can the Ukrainian ammo storage hits achieve?

Posted by Guessedworker on Saturday, 21 September 2024 22:55.

ATP Geopolitics explains:

So far, four large-scale ammunition storage sites have been hit in under two weeks. The first attack was on the morning of September 7.  The depot is in Soldatsky, Voronezh region, only about seventy-five miles from the Ukrainian border.  It is where North Korean-made KN-23 missiles were held.

Next, on the night of September 18 the SBU security service, GUR defence intelligence, and Special Operations Forces hit Military Unit 11777, the headquarters of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Defence Ministry in Toropets, Tver region.  As many as 100 drones may have been used.  The depot is vast, and said to have held missiles for Iskander operational-tactical missile systems, Tochka-U tactical missile systems, as well as KAB aerial guided bombs, and artillery rounds.

On the night of September 21, the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck the Russian arsenal of Tikhoretsk, in the Krasnodar region.  This facility is one of the three largest ammunition storage hubs in Russia and one of the key ones in the logistics system of the Russian forces fighting in Ukraine.  According to reports the arsenal had received at least 2,000 tons of ammunition, including from North Korea. The Podliot radar station, which detected air targets in the direction of the arsenal, was also attacked.

The same night the 23rd Arsenal of the Main Artillery Department of the Ministry of Defence, again in the Tver region.  This was another warehouse where the Iskander and Tochka-U ballistic missiles were located. It is about 15 km from Toropets.

All four were major hits.  There are claims from the front in Donetsk that Russian Army logistics have already been affected, and the rate of artillery fire is reducing.  Can the pressure be sustained by the Ukrainians (for example, if the Russians now have to move to a multiplicity of smaller but less secure storage sites)?  What would be the potential effect on the Russians ability to continue their current offensive war?

An educated Russian man in the street says his piece

Alexey, a 47-year-old Russian and a teacher by profession, shares his perspective on Putin’s war in Ukraine.  Among other things, he explains why he believes Ukraine should not cede territory, and questions whether the West is really the great enemy to Russia:

“We have China right next door and it’s many times scarier.

... China’s policy is that the whole world, that is, the globe, is China.  And all those who think otherwise simply do not understand the magnitude of the imperial scheme of the Chinese and their emperor”

“Unwilling to rest on the foot of conscience, my Russia took a few big leaps, pushing everyone around, but them slipped and collapsed with a crash, destroying everything around it. And now it is floundering in a pool of either mud or blood, with broken bones and the poor, robbed population, surrounded by the tens of thousands of victims of the most stupid and senseless war of the XXI century.”

Savage Sage, a corrective to Moscow’s flood of lies

Here is a sampler from the work of a Ukrainian content producer, the content being the busting of propaganda from Moscow.  The video is titled 20 Confirmed Lies, Imperialism & Moscow’s Propaganda from Robert Kennedy Jr. on Ukraine.

Beneath the videos, Yaroslav - that’s his name, apparently - notes the following:

Moscow’s immense investments into propaganda paying off from the mouth of Robert Kennedy Jr. Most disgusting lies about Ukraine I’ve ever heard from a presidential candidate of a democratic state.  Over 20 of confirmed lies, severe imperialism symptoms, justifying Moscow’s unprovoced invasion, borderline betrayal of US interests

Lavrov: today the Kinburn Spit, tomorrow the (New) World (Order)

A residential apartment block in Dnipro hit by a Russian missile on 14th January 2023

This morning the DT’s live Ukraine feed carried a brief report of comments by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s, revealing the Kremlin’s real interest in peace talks with Ukraine, ie, it doesn’t have any.  The war is for empire and geopolitics, not for ethnic Russians in Ukraine (or in Russia).  The Kremlin’s interest is that the United States “negotiates” giving up of its status as global hegemon in exchange for Putin making nice with Zelensky for five minutes.  Lavrov actually means that American maintenance of the rules-based international order has to be ended so Russia can upgrade its non-rules-based, eurasionist model of imperial power to a global level.

I would remind readers that the Kremlin power elites define multipolarity as a collection of economic blocs, each led by a dominant power.  The model allows the Kremlin to piggy-back (with “no limits”) off the China’s inevitably global hegemony - as close as it can get to hegemon itself.

Here is the report:

Any Ukraine peace talks should be about ‘new world order’

Moscow wants any Ukraine peace talks to focus on creating a “new world order”, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on a visit to Turkey on Friday.

He also threatened to abandon a landmark grain deal, which Turkey helped broker, if obstacles to Russian exports remain.

“Any negotiation needs to be based on taking into account Russian interests, Russian concerns,” Lavrov said.

“It should be about the principles on which the new world order will be based.”

He added that Russia rejects a “unipolar world order led by ‘one hegemon’”.

Meet Norm Eisen: Legal Hatchet Man and Central Operative in the “Color Revolution” Against Trump.

Meet Norm Eisen: Legal Hatchet Man and Central Operative in the “Color Revolution” Against President Trump.

Revolver News 9 Sept 2020

In our report on Never Trump State Department official George Kent, Revolver News first drew attention to the ominous similarities between the strategies and tactics the United States government employs in so-called “Color Revolutions” and the coordinated efforts of government bureaucrats, NGOs, and the media to oust President Trump.

Our recent follow-up to this initial report focused specifically on a shadowy, George Soros linked group called the Transition Integrity Project (TIP), which convened “war games” exercises suggesting the likelihood of a “contested election scenario,” and of ensuing chaos should President Trump refuse to leave office. We further showed how these “contested election” scenarios we are hearing so much about play perfectly into the Color Revolution framework sketched out Revolver News’ first installment in the Color Revolution series.

This third installment of Revolver News‘ series exposing the Color Revolution against Trump will focus on one quiet and indeed mostly overlooked participant in the Transition Integrity Project’s biased election “war games” exercise—a man by the name of Norm Eisen.

Norm Eisen

As the man who implemented the David Brock blueprint for suing the President into paralysis and his allies into bankruptcy, who helped mainstream and amplify the Russia Hoax, who drafted 10 articles of impeachment for the Democrats a full month before President Trump ever called the Ukraine President in 2018, who personally served as special counsel litigating the Ukraine impeachment, who created a template for Internet censorship of world leaders and a handbook for mass mobilizing racial justice protesters to overturn democratic election results, there is perhaps no man alive with a more decorated resume for plots against President Trump.

Indeed, the story of Norm Eisen – a key architect of nearly every attempt to delegitimize, impeach, censor, sue and remove the democratically elected 45th President of the United States – is a tale that winds through nearly every facet of the color revolution playbook. There is no purer embodiment of Revolver’s thesis that the very same regime change professionals who run Color Revolutions on behalf of the US Government in order to undermine or overthrow alleged “authoritarian” governments overseas, are running the very same playbook to overturn Trump’s 2016 victory and to pre-empt a repeat in 2020. To put it simply, what you see is not just the same Color Revolution playbook run against Trump, but the same people using it against Trump who have employed it in a professional capacity against targets overseas—same people same playbook.

In Norm Eisen’s case, the “same people same playbook” refrain takes an arrestingly literal turn when one realizes that Norm Eisen wrote a classic Color Revolution regime change manual, and conveniently titled it “The Playbook.”

Just what exactly is President Obama’s former White House Ethics Czar (yes, Norm Eisen was Obama’s ethics Czar), his longtime friend since Harvard Law School, who recently partook in war games to simulate overturning a Trump electoral victory, doing writing a detailed playbook on how to use a Color Revolution to overthrow governments? The story of Norm Eisen only gets more fascinating, outrageous, and indispensable to understanding the planned chaos unfolding before our eyes, leading up to what will perhaps be the most chaotic election in our nation’s recent history

.......

I’d Rather Have This Book Than The Atomic Bomb”

Before we can fully appreciate the significance of Norm Eisen’s Color Revolution manual “The Playbook,” we must contextualize this important book in relation to its place in Color Revolution literature.

The Visegrád Four as the driving force behind Europe’s support for Belarusians

Posted by DanielS on Monday, 14 September 2020 05:01.

Visegrád Group“Poland still remembers the decisive events of 1989 and always supports its neighbours. I have called for an extraordinary meeting of the European Council and strong reaction from the EU to what is happening in Belarus. We must support Belarusians together”, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki tweeted on August 11. Poland has clearly taken the lead in the Visegrád Group’s response, and also, with the support of its V4 partners and of the Baltic States, in the EU’s response. After some early hesitations, Hungary’s leaders have been most outspoken in their support for Poland’s efforts.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on August 17 that he had held talks with his counterparts from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, and also with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who had just spoken to Polish PM Morawiecki: “The power and importance of the Visegrád cooperation is evident again. We support the Polish position, especially regarding the large Polish community in Belarus”, Szijjártó wrote. Such support comes in spite of Hungary’s having better relations with Russia than Poland does, and at a time when Morawiecki has called on Russia not to intervene in Belarus and has presented a plan to support those who are protesting in that country. Morawiecki’s plan contains a pledge to make it possible for Belarusian university teachers and students to find places at Polish universities if they are expelled in Belarus due to their political activity, a promise to make it easier for Belarusians to get visas and work permits, a new mechanism to finance independent Belarusian media outlets, and new sources of financing for Polish NGOs which bring support to civil society in Belarus.

Belarus: Lukashenko seeks Russian intervention/Russian opposition leader Navalny apparently poisoned

Defense minister: Lukashenko looking to give Russia pretext to intervene - News.err.ee.com 26 Aug 2020

Defense minister Jüri Luik (Isamaa) has condemned the actions of Belrusian president, Alexander Lukashenko, saying the newly re-elected leader has been creating a straw man enemy which might give neighboring Russia a pretext to intervene, as well as continuing repression against the Belarusian people in the aftermath of the election over two weeks ago.

‘By emphasizing the threat of NATO, Lukashenko is trying to shift the blame for the domestic crisis on a phantom enemy which doesn’t exist and to give Russia an excuse to intervene,” Luik said Wednesday, according to a ministry press release.

The defense minister was in Berlin, meeting with his German opposite number Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer as part of a wider EU defense ministers’ get together, the first of its kind since the coronavirus pandemic began in spring.

“At the same time, Lukashenko has embarked on a series of new domestic repressions, which are now directed primarily against protest movement leaders,” Luik added.

Both ministers said of key importance is how to support the democratic will of the Belarusian people. Democratic values and their fostering in Belarus was at stake, not whether that country could one day become an EU member, Kramp-Karrenbauer added.

The pair also discussed the recent poisoning of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, which Luik called another sad example of Russia’s disregard for both human life and democratic freedoms.

Navalny, 44, is in a German hospital, having been taken there last Saturday, where he remains in an artificially-induced coma.

That Navalny was poisoned is beyond question, the German defense minister added, though it was currently not clear what toxin had been used or what Navalny’s long-term situation might be.

The ministers also discussed broader EU, NATO and bilateral security issues, and Luik thanked Germany for its contribution to Baltic Air policing duties ahead of its air force’s arrival at Ämari Air Base, where it will replace the French Air Force planes currently based there as part of the Baltic air policing rotational system.

A total of 13 EU defense minister were in Berlin Wednesday; other topics for discussion included the situation in the West African country of Mali – whose French-led peace-keeping efforts Estonia’s defense forces contribute to – and in the Mediterranean.

Before He Fell Ill, Navalny’s Every Move Was Tracked. What About The Poisoning? - RadioFreeEurope, 26 Aug 2020:

Russian opposition leader Aleksei Navalny (2nd right) poses for a picture with supporters in Tomsk on August 19.

MOSCOW—When Aleksei Navalny arrived in Novosibirsk earlier this month to meet with local opposition activists, security services in the Siberian city were already tracking his moves.

After he and three colleagues left on August 18 to drive 250 kilometers south to Tomsk, a group of plainclothes officers trailed him. In Tomsk itself, every detail of his two-day visit—including the location of his rented apartment and the names of people he met—was recorded.

“Law enforcement noted no suspicious contacts that could be linked to a poisoning,” read an article by the Moskovsky komsomolets tabloid that detailed the depth of this surveillance and cited anonymous officials in Russia’s security services.
