Violence shocks socialist mayor

Posted by Guest Blogger on Thursday, 10 November 2005 12:41.

Michel Pajon, the socialist mayor of Noisy-le-Grand near Paris, has gone on state radio to denounce the appalling violence which has occurred in his town. He said,

“Women have been made to stop on the streets of my town. They were dragged from their cars by their hair, they were practically stoned and their cars were set ablaze…

“The situation is absolutely dramatic and unacceptable. This is a real scandal. I sound the alarm bell in my town. If the state is incapable of defending us, we will have no choice but to defend ourselves.

“My town has a psychiatric hospital which has been attacked with molotov cocktails. This is beyond comprehension. I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. I do not ask for the resignation of the Interior Minister [Nicolas Sarkozy]. I want him to do his job. At the moment he is not doing his job.

“Send in the army? I do not know, for a socialist to say that the army has to intervene is an inconceivable admission of defeat, but what I can say is that one cannot abandon the people like this. At some point we need to know whether this country still has a state.”

Women dragged from their cars by their hair and then “practically stoned”? Hospitals attacked with molotov cocktails? It sounds as if in some parts of France the situation on the ground has been much worse than the mainstream media is letting on.

Catholics for Islam

Posted by Guest Blogger on Thursday, 06 October 2005 12:04.

This story has already done the rounds on a couple of websites. But I thought it significant enough to also get a run here.

In short, there is a Catholic Center at New York University. An attendee of a Catholic retreat at the centre was surprised to find that the opening prayer was made not only to Jesus but also to Muhammad.

He was even more disconcerted to find that the Catholic Center hosted in its basement an Islamic Cultural Centre, complete with prayer rugs, pictures of Mecca and Islamic literature.

So here we have the the ecumenical spirit turned up to full blast. And what was the response of the Muslim side to all this? Did they give equally in return?

In this month of Ramadan

Posted by Guessedworker on Tuesday, 04 October 2005 11:45.

Browsing the, of course, always racist and fascist website of the BNP I came across this dhimmitudinous tale.  And then this one.  I just thought, what with the Eurasian Union and all, our banner should, for once, reflect diverse and, of course, always, always, always vibrant modernity.

That Canadian Jewish guy gets closer than ever to saying it

OK, he’s a Bush-pusher when it comes to Iraq.  But Mark Steyn is getting ever closer to telling the horrible, incovenient truth about the MultiCult and Moslems.

One of the striking features of the post-9/11 world is the minimal degree of separation between the so-called “extremists” and the establishment: Princess Haifa, wife of the Saudi ambassador to Washington, gives $130,000 to accomplices of the 9/11 terrorists; the head of the group that certifies Muslim chaplains for the US military turns out to be a bagman for terrorists; one of the London bombers gets given a tour of the House of Commons by a Labour MP. The Guardian hires as a “trainee journalist” a member of Hizb ut Tahir, “Britain’s most radical Islamic group” (as his own newspaper described them) and in his first column post-7/7 he mocks the idea that anyone could be “shocked” at a group of Yorkshiremen blowing up London: “Second- and third-generation Muslims are without the don’t-rock-the-boat attitude that restricted our forefathers. We’re much sassier with our opinions, not caring if the boat rocks” - or the bus blows, or the Tube vaporises. Fellow Guardian employee David Foulkes, who was killed in the Edgware Road blast, would no doubt be heartened to know he’d died for the cause of Muslim “sassiness”.

Anguish, shock and horror from big British Moslems.  But lasting shame?

Posted by Guessedworker on Wednesday, 13 July 2005 08:48.

This morning the Telegraph reports the response of Iqbal Sacranie, Secretary General of the The Muslim Council of Britain, to the news that three - and possible all four - of the terrorists who bombed London were born in this country.  The three were of Pakistani origin (like Sacranie, in fact.  He, though, was born in Zomba, Malawi but, of course, is neither Pakistani nor Malawan but British, just like me!).  Sacranie said:-

We have received terrible news from the police with anguish, shock and horror.  We believe our youth are said to have been involved in last week’s horrific bombings against innocent people.  While the police investigation continues, we reiterate our absolute commitment and resolve to helping the police bring to justice all involved in this crime of mass murder.

Nothing in Islam can ever justify the evil actions of the bombers. We are determined to work together with all concerned to prevent such an atrocity ever happening again. We now look to our shared values and common humanity to face the traumas and the challenge ahead.

Now, it so happens that Mr Sacranie has just been challenged by Nick Griffin - who was born on a farm in Suffolk - to explain how, exactly, all these “shared values and common humanity” fit in with the Koran.

Jihad Denial and the tragedy of moderate fascism

Posted by Guest Blogger on Thursday, 10 February 2005 23:49.

Before one can solve a problem one has to know the true facts of the matter.  It is striking how such torrents of people write ‘authoritatively’ about Islam when they have not bothered to study the facts about it – such as what, in unvarnished form, the Koran and Hadiths actually say rather than what they are said to say.

Is Holocaust Denial really a crime?  If it is, then how much greater a crime is the consistent pretending-away of thirteen centuries of unprovoked, bloody Islamic Jihad?  A Jihad which is still continuing around the world, particularly in Indonesia and Sudan but extending to Holland, the US and of course, Madrid.

Obvious, when you think about it

Hat tip to the redoubtable Pericles for this marvel of Arabian logic.

A Muslim Saudi professor says the earthquake and tsunami in south Asia were punishment from Allah for homosexuality and fornication committed by residents and visitors of affected countries at Christmastime.

A television interview of Sheik Fawzan Al-Fawzan, a professor at the Al-Imam University, was translated and posted on the Internet by the Middle East Media Research Institute TV Monitor Project, or MEMRI TV. The interview can be viewed on MEMRI’s website.

Words are not adequate

Posted by Guessedworker on Sunday, 19 December 2004 20:10.

I stand in no danger of falling foul of any religious hate speech law.  It would be entirely invidious of me, as the father of a twelve year girl, to attempt to put into words my opinion of Iranian justice or Sharia and the nature and worth of the religious “judges” - I cannot call them men - who dispense it.

Speed the day when they will receive the same quality of justice for their crimes, which are many and which are real.
